Track temp make a HUGE difference?
your times will slow down for more heat... for instance, I ran earlier in the morning a 2.0xx and a 12.3x, I ran later in the day when it got a bit hotter a 1.8 and a 12.2x... typically .1 on the 60 = .2 on the qtr.. even so, my 60" was .2 better and my et got .1 better, lol... you can tell the difference.
Temp, humidity, altitudeand barometric pressure all play a large roll in how well you run. For example you could have an 80* day but have high pressure and low humidity and still run pretty well. Also you should be looking at trap speed and not ET as an indicator of how well the air is on a givin day. Usually as the day warms up, you trap will slow down.
Heat makes a huge difference (well heat as well as other things as mentioned by JD1969)...
When I ran my best time everyone was 3 to 4 tenths slower than usual... I believe track temp was 125F, Temp was just shy of 90 and humidity was just stupid.. you could tell the car wasn't as rev happy as it is when it was cold out.
