So I was coming home from droppinga friendoff at his house. This blue/silver eclipse pulls up next to me and I can see the gauges glowing on the "A" pillar. So I figure I better put my guard up. We are in traffic so I know nothing can happen, anyway he revs up and breaks the front tires loose and I punch and let off. He takes the third lane and gets ahead of me. I wait until I can get around the car in front of me and I make my move. I got behind him and moved to the left lane. The light we are coming up on turns red and "its on like a pot of neck bones". I stay back about half a fender and I am anxious as hell, worried I am going to miss third. The light changes and I come off easy so not to spin. I hear his turbo spool up and the front tires break. I nailed it and did not look back. Third went in like butter andthe rest is history. I slowed down and he caught up, gave me the thumbs up and that was it.Man that was so much fun. It has been so long since I have done that. [/align]

On another note, while I street race you really are a dumbass... if your going to street race, don't do it while there is traffic around - that's how people get hurt.

With a 12 second car unless that car was highly modded, you probably really shouldn't have wasted your time... I know it's exciting but that'd be like me punching a 2nd grader and bragging to my peers, lol

Nice kill. And depending on the year Eclipse, they probably run high 14's to low 13's. The stock GST's and GSX's from the mid to late 90's run high 14's stock and with a few bolt ons run low 14's. I have yet to see what a 2000-2005 Eclipse GT or GTS runs with a nice turbo setup. Oh well, nice kill again.

 

I know DSM's are no joke if they're truley modded... but it takes A LOT of money to get them near our cars... and you are talking about 2% of DSMs that are streetable... most of them that are that fast aren't even really streetable. With a stock Cobra (12.7 and up in the qtr)... if he was really modded, he would've actually decimated you. I think you beat up a 14 second car, lol... Just because he has a loud blowoff doesn't mean he has anything other then a blowoff...
