So its about 7am this morning and I am just minding my own business to play in a golf tournament. When a jeep pulls up on my left. Not thinking much of it I just roll out of the light and take it easy. Heck I am not even awake yet. He sort of guns it off the line and then hits the breaks. Its obvious the guy wants to race. I look over and I see the 5.7L Limited on the rear of the car while we were driving and didn't think much of it. We come up to a red and I knew the light was going to turn green so I just kept rolling and then hit the gas on green. I didnt want to race and of course my exhaust I guess made the guy think I wanted to race so he guns it. I figure what the hell he has like a car and half on me lets see if I can reel him in. After a car and a half headstart I reeled him in rather quickly and looked over with a smile. Unfortunately I didnt run the Nitrous or it would have been a qucker death for the 15 or 16 second car.

Those things are actually pretty quick. I'd say a high 14 stock with the HO motor. I absolutely destroyed a 2001 SS Camaro in my buddy's a couple years ago (god bless 4wd launch!).

usually I don't stick up for the LS1 guys because they have enough people spreading the BS gospel in assholish fashion... but.... do you know what 10 car lengths looks like?
the slowest pass documented on dragtimes in an 98+ Fbod is 14.1 @ 101MPH
I'm not calling BS... who am I to say he diddn't start it in neutral and shift into 6th and play catch up....

To clarify, I'll throw in that his headlights were flashing side to side behind me as well. Nonetheless, the 5.7 HO is plenty to have a little fun. I also lost by 2-3 lengths to a stock Evo that night from 20-80.
