a good launch.....

with your setup I see you dropping mid 10's all day (just an estimate)

a stock 600RR is a mid to low 11 second bike.

If you get your tires to bite... you have it

if you're at all in the 10s, it will be a real good race. it takes a hell of a car to show even a little 600 its taillights, but even though all 600s in the past 3 years will do 10.7s or better bone stock with a pro on board, the average joe can usually manage low 11s, theres no mid 11s in the equasion unless its a guy with severely limited racing experience.

it's all about exploiting the bikes weaknesses, a few things to consider:

motorcycles are all about power/weight, and since they only weigh around 400lbs with all the fluids, rider weight makes a very big difference. big guy? better shot!

are you sure its stock? the best time i managed on my 600rr bone stock with the rear dropped 3" and the front strapped was 10.9(i weigh around 180 btw). just $60 and 10 minutes install got me a new 15 tooth front sprocket and a 46 tooth rear sprocket, and my best with that was 10.7s (and even though it would be kinda obvious wether or not he has nitrous, i had a 40 wet shot on another engine for the same bike which ran 10.2's easy, though not for long)

but anyway, point is, if you are anywhere around Morbid's estimate, it'll be a driver's race.

600cc I4 bikes dont make any torque to speak of until nearly 5krpm, and dont hit their powerband until well over 8krpm, if you're going to win this race, it will be in the first 60 feet. depending on the individual, 600 riders launch between 8k and 10krpm just for that reason, if he either gets the front light and chops the throttle, or lets the revs drop on the launch, then that's your window to take it.

good luck man, ive always had mad respect for a street driven car that can show me his taillights

edit:

i just remembered something else! lol

stock tires on a 600 are fairly sticky in the corners, but arent much for drag racing, and if hes running factory reccomended tire pressure (if his bikes stock, youve got about a 1/1 chance that he is) then the contact patch of the tire is smaller than a postage stamp and he'll have a hard time keeping the tire from spinning halfway through the 1st 60'.

ive you've got some slicks, or a decent-hooking set of dot drags, you will have a much easier time

question...what does your cobra run? it says 10.4 on your cardomain page...have you actually gone 10s in it?

also, you have a page about a charger, and you have pictures of the silver charger RT/GTS...the only reason that i recognize the car, is that he lives around the metro detroit area and the car has a viper drivetrain...and on your charger CD site, you seem to talk about a charger, and some crappy little mazda?

something else that should be mentioned...i know alot of bike guys, and in most cases, they are more likely to have the "good driver mod" than are alot of the 'fast car' drivers i know...especially on here.

Mexican block are blocks from Mexico, they are supposed to be stronger than a standard 5.0 block wich are known to crack at around 450rwhp

This would be an awsome race either way!

Ive got Charger R/T and the one on my site unpainted is mine, mazda is my daily driver, it actually handles pretty nice and will blow doors off of other honduhs, etc.

Guy that I bought Cobra from said he did 10.4 @125 with missing 3rd gear (I need to install UPR clutch quadrant, it's still has stock plastic one and stock clutch cable)
I forgot to mention its not RR it's just an R. I'm not sure if RR has more hp or not but I know they got better suspension than R's. Yes, it is stock bike.
What tire pressure do you guys recommend and what RPM launch?

honda never made a sportbike with just an R, suzuki, yamaha, and kawasaki do.

heres all the 600 supersport bikes honda has ever made:

cbr600f (87-90)
cbr600f2(91-94)
cbr600f3(95-98)
cbr600f4(99-02)
cbr600f4i(03-current)
and cbr600RR(03-current)

edit:

oh btw, if YOU can manage a 10.4, then its all over for any stock 600

k cool, well the f4i does have a little less hp, but they usually run pretty similar straight line times as the rr's, road racing is where they fall behind. like you said, better suspension
