Default 92 Vert VS. G35

So I was cruising back from the mall yesterday, going under the speed limit, basically hoping to find a race. I was in the 92 LX vert, auto. All that's done is 3.73, k&n, and flows. So anyway we pull up to the light next to this white g35 with nice rims, he said it was stock otherwise. I asked if it was quick, and he said you might be surprised. I said lets go, and when the light turned, we went. I was ahead until I went to third, then he pulled by pretty quickly. I was impressed by my car though. BTW he was auto I think.

I ran one at the track, his was stock too. He got me off the jump cause of me having no traction but i was able to catch him at the end of 2nd and put 2-3 cars on him in the 1/4. Not sure what he ran but they are decently quick. So good run!

Have you been to the track to see what you run??

Sounds like an awesome run. The g35s run in the low 14's usually stock. They are just a tad slower than the new 350z. So they are pretty quick as well.

yeah same engine as the Z's.

The auto g35 coupes and sedans usually run mid 14's, the 6speeds usually run about the same maybe .2. better

If by new, you meant '06 back, then yeah, they're not much slower. The new '07 350Z would wax a G coupe. They've run13.30's stock. But new G37 Coupe coming out later this year should be able to beat the '06 back Z's, though. They're gonna have 330hp, and from what some say, that number is under-rated. Damn I want one.....[8D]

I also was reading how the G37 will pack on some pounds also.

Not enough to keep me from buying one......

I really can't wait until they put that engine in the Z.
