from a dig, my 03 Gt vs a 2007 Eclipse GT 6 speed. light turned green we both take off it was dead even till he hit third gear he gained about a 1/4 car length on me. then we had to stop traffic. i thought i would have took him but guess not. they are fast cars.

 

They can run low 14's stock with a good driver, so I take it your an auto or got out-driven. Nice death.

I hear its in the low to 14 flat range. 263 HP i know that 3 more then my stang stock and also about 300 pounds lighter

 

I also never launched my car very well never helf the car on the break at all the light turned green and we were gone if i held the car at a higher rpm i may have got the jump on him and won

 

I'd say thats why you lost, but there have been plenty of stock auto 99-04 GT's run 14.3-14.4 stock, and with your mods your probably down to a 14 flat or so. He must be a great driver or have had an intake or exhaust.

 

I know this guy we are all friends and yes is a good driver. actually he drives like he had stolen the thing. it was a very close race but i still lost.

If he really is stock than he must be one hell of a driver. I've heard the new Eclipse GT's run 14.1-14.2, and you should be alittle faster than that.
