Default 4.0 vs Cobalt SS

I was out for a nice cruise tonight. I'm sitting in a turn lane with a car in front of me, and a Cobalt SS pulls behind me, and stops annoyingly close to my rear. When the light turned green, they stuck to my rear like a magnet, and I couldn't really go because of the car in front of me. This road meets up with a 4 lane, and at the next light, I turned right, onto the 4 lane. Of course, the Cobalt SS follows, and we're both doing like 15 mph, he's a little behind me, and I hear him downshift, so I floored it. Up to 75, I had him by 2 cars.. stopped at the next light.

I look over, the two guys wouldn't look at me. I hear them tach it up, and the light goes green. The Cobalt SS screeches its tires, and I floor it. I immediately get a 2-3 car lead.. and by 90, they were at least 8-10 cars back, and I slowed waaaay down to 40. They were coming on fast, I figured they were going to do the "flyby", but they slowed next to me. I look over to give the guy a thumbs up, but the passenger was flipping me off! They escaped to the left turn lanes at the next intersection.. and that was that.

When they escaped to those turn lanes, I saw the big spoiler and SS badge on the rear. Not SS/SC..otherwise, it would have been a different race!

Sounds like you raced the worst Cobalt SS driver on the planet!

What are the N/A 2.4's capable of?

I would guess mid to high 15's at best right?

Their both 15 second cars, for a 10 car beating to happen the guy was a bad driver.

You probably shouldnt have put 8-10 cars on him, but I would believe that from a dig, or slow roll yu'd walk the N/A version pretty steadily.

I don't doubt the win, it's just the distance should have been closer.

Bluebeast-- my car hits mid 14s.

And I see we're going down the "beat the driver not the car" line?

A win is a win.. it's not my fault if a guy can't drive.Just because I beat a certain car, I don't think I automatically beat every single one that rolled off the assembly line.

I'm yet to race the S/C version. Driven one, but never raced one.

Didn't seem to pull that hard from what I noticed, but I'm used to 4.10's in my GT.
