beat a Z28
I'm sure everyone is sick of reading long threads about their kills so I'll keep mine short and sweet. Last weekend I raced a Z28 from a dig, and I beat him by 2-3 lengths. I thought it was nice, the only problem with this is he "claims" it has new heads/cams complete exhaust...is it possible for me to have won legit?

What year Z28, LT1 or LS1, 80's model? LT1 with heads cam and exhaust should be quicker than you, LS1 with that work would slaughter you and an '80's Z lets say 305 with that combo would lose to you.
i beat an LT1 about a month ago. basicly stock motor with an AOD.
went from a 15 roll up to about 110
had him by 2 cars at about 70 but he started pulling on the topend.
he had shift kit and exhaust and a passenger (who asked me *politely* to race)

my car has 3.55 gears, rebuilt AOD with who knows what parts.
i have a few suspension upgrades as well.
before we raced i told them i would probably lose.
dont thinka 3.8 would have the license plate "DWG-Z28" and it sounded mean as hell....

Stranger things have happened...my Auto LT1 Z went 14.1 @ 97mph bone stock (74K on the clock, factory 3.23s and a fubar trans...) but I hear about LT1 cars that can't get better than mid 14s on good days.

Butit doesn't matter if it was an LT1 or LS1. Either one of those with H/C and full exhaust would put a GOOD beating on you, especially an LS1.
