went to GLD today. only ran 3 times. on right run, i spun slicks like street tires and know i know how much it effects when those people with street tires spins and leaves the rubber at tree. first run pretty much sucked so no need to mention.
best run was 11.74@122.8mph 1/8 mile 7.6@94mph with only 1.81 60' I was very sure i could run 11.5s and cooled it down very good and lined up again, launched it good 1.73 60' and 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd shifts were good and then boom, i heard something happened and laud weird noise that scared the sh*t out of me. kinda paniced and shifted to 4th and finised the line. i saw i ran 11.76@122mph this time with 7.5@94mph. i improved the 60' and 1/8 mile time and because of breakage ran worse.
regardless I will run 11.5 with this car as it sits now. (can't promise nothing on halfshafts). I am so pissed cuz i just replaced the alternator and my alternator BOOM again. thank god with full battery, WITHOUT turning the lights on, i managed to make home with 11.7@122mph timeslip:razz:
I can't imagine launching this thing hard. like 5-6k rpm. geez it would run low 11s as it sits now then.
Special thanks to Matt (ubergeist) and his buddy Brad who assisted me the whole way.
i am happy for running faster and fricken pissed cuz brand new alternator gave up on me and i was about to pay 300+ for tow.:down:
