Default Dissappointing Track Night...

Wellmy buddy and me decided to go to the track last night. I havent had my car long and really wanted to see how it would do. Well long story short i am extremely pleased with how healthy and powerful the car is but my times would say different haha. My problem for the night was traction. I did not have one pass where idid notburn all the way thru first, burn up until about 4k in second and burned a lil in third(not chirped).Well maybea few runs with less burning in 2nd and 3rd. My trap speeds were ok for the launches i was doing. I did 95 the whole night besides one 96mph run. My 60ft times were disgraceful and thats what killed me. i was doing like 2.5 +/-.1 the whole night.

What really got me was the fact that i burned away most of second. I never do that on the street and i have only chirped 3rd. I didnt go thru the water and only did a very small burnout to clean the tires. I started babying it off the line after my first pass cus there was no other way to do it.

Dont laugh too hard but my best time 14.7

The guy who i bought it from hit 14.2 with it and he said he was spinnin first too but never burned through 2nd like i was doing.

I need slicks..

hmmm i don't know if he was being completely honest with you on that unless you had saw it or the timeslips, but i may be wrong also, because most of the mods you have don't do too much for your times except those 4.10's.

hah thanks. But it just one of those things where you know whats going wrong and if i could have just got some d*mn traction and cut that 60fter down i would have been able to hit that time. My buddies dad was laughing the whole night cus he was watching from the line and just said how funny it was too see me burin out down the track till part of 3rd.

sure your LSD is functioning properly? 96mph is kind of low mph for a car with enough power to burn 2 tires through 3rd.

the only time ive burned through almost 3 gears (about 1 full second of 3rd) was on 255 street tires and i still went 13.0 @ 110mph

Yeah im pretty sure it is. I wasnt worried about the trap speed cus when the guy before me ran a 14.2 with it he trapped 98, if i recall correctly...

But im sure it wouldnt hurt to check it out. Thanks.

Those are some of the worst 60 ft times I've ever seen; you'll easily drop a half second with sticky tires. Easily.

Not being so over zealous on the launch probably wouldn't hurt either

14.8 with 2.5 60ft times is not bad at all.

Get some DRs and get those 60ft times down around 2.0 and you will be looking at high 13s.
