Do you guys like roll racing, or is it gay?

 

I prefer either... no better than the other, usually I try togo from a dig and from a roll when racing against someone I know to see the outcome from both circumstances and see where different makes and models have their strengths and measure just how great that strength is

 

Roll patrol = gayness

 

From a roll is boring, doesn't test the cars enoughand leaves little to driver talent.Morbid listed the only circumstances I would roll race, testing with friends. But if some stranger wants to run, its from a dig or get back on the porch.

 

We never even heard of roll racing untill all the FWD ricers started coming out. (no offence bluebeast). They started doing it because FWD is a sever handycap when racing from a dig.

 

I put that i dont Mind it, Rather go from a Dig.
Reasons i dont mind it:
A) When on the Streets rollracing doesnt get the cops attention as much as from a DIG.
B) EVERYTIME i have raced from a Dig and Won, the other guy pulled back up and said, he bogged, or something else, this way froma Roll, i beat the car and not a Driver

 

Try runningtwo 750+ HP cars from a dig on the street and let me know how that ends up!

I like both. Racing from a dig requires much more driver's skill and is a test of a vehicle's traction. Racing from a roll is easier to set up, doesn't draw as much unwanted attention, and tests a vehicle's power. When racing a friend, I try to do at least one of each justto get the big picture. One form of racing is not "gay" just because you lose at that paticular game. Just remember, excuses are for losers.

 

If you have too much horsepower to go from a dig, then more then likely you put too much money into making power and not enough in getting that power to the ground. What sense does that make? I had a 97 GST Eclipse and it drove me nuts. 1st gear was worthless from a dig. I just couldn't understand why a car was built that way. I couldn't wait to get an Evo with Awd.

I guess roll racing is ok only if your in a situation where you just can't stop the car and go from a dig (highway or something).

 

Yeah, cause that happens all the time. Just yesterday I was coming back from aFFM threesome in my stang and ran two from a dig. The first was a 92' accord with a Lycoming T53-L-11 power adderpushing 800rwhp and the second was a Honda CHF50 Metropoitan with a JATO solid fuel rocket power adder. The guy on the honda was being a dick and wouldn't say how much hp he was pushing but whoever said mopeds are slow is an idiot. They can fly with the propermods.
