OMG I cannot believe this happened today. it was incredible.

So there I am after I'm done running errands going to work and I see this gorgeous white convertible 03 SVT pull out from the opposing lanes at Meyer Road and make a left turn directly ahead of me in the direction I was going. When my light turned green I got right up with him just stared for a bit. Then as I was getting read to go up the cloverleaf to Coliseum Blvd he turned in the same lane to go that way too. I'm thinking Oh sweet!

So we just drive normally near each other and I'm just staring at his car thinking "I hope we catch a red light."

Then to my surprise the first light we get up to turned red!!! W00T!!!

So I pull into the next lane beside him and rev my engine to no response. I thought that was a little weird, I figured he wanted to show off a bit like the other ones I've seen have done. I started to shake in anticipation as i looked over at the opposing light turn yellow... and then red...

I'm sittin there thinkin...oh man... I'm so excited... Then it happened, our light turned green, I revved to 4000 rpm and dumped the clutch. BAM! I was off... I couldn't believe i got traction!!!

I wound out 1st, 2nd, and then 3rd gear and look back and he's 4-6 cars back! HAHAHAHAHA

I SMOKED HIM!!!!! I couldn't believe it!!!!!!!!

The SVT was on the back of a flatbed tow truck being towed to the Ford dealer. [:@]

and I didn't do any clutch dumping or racing cause well, for one I don't street race anymore and it was raining out. [8D]

not necessarily, it was raining pretty good. I've been behind a cobra at take off before when it was raining. I got up and went right around him without a problem. But I would NEVER try to race anything with a V8 when it can get traction.
