Default LS3 Dyno results

It has taken your GT's to have FULL bolton's, tune, gears tires to run with LS2 Vettes and Terminator owners with pulley swaps to up one on their fierce rival well all that is about to change a bit.....Chevy has delivered an underated motor....teh LS3......Dyno results from LG Motorsports (well known for their quality aftermarket products) dynoed a A6 and a M6.....

The results for the A6 is 370hp/363Tq....while the M6 has a excellent 387hp/377tq.......on a Dynorun.

In a nut shell my LS2 would need LT's,catback w/ mid-pipe,CAI, and tune just to run even....
Cobra guys there are no guarantees with da pulley swap anymore....
S197 guys, N/A won't get it done anymore, time for NOS,turbo,SC, ...or bust....

As soon as my new union contract gets signed early next year I'm upping the stakes...I will not get pulledat allby a base Vette just after a year after getting mine off the Showroom floor......Fu*k that!!!

So what do you plan to do? Sounds like you'll be needing to step up to some juice or F/I yourself.

Unless you don't plan to run into anything but stock LS3 cars.[8D]

Forget it dude....there's ALWAYS gonna be someone faster. Shoot, I was all set to work my way up to 10psi and do some gears when I realized that nothing I do with this car on the street requires anything quicker than what I'm running. 99% of the cars that entice me into a run on the streets don't have a prayer as it is. Those who can take me out........deserve the win. And while I do plan to track my car sometime soon (hopefully), I have no ET goals for my ride whatsoever. It'll run the track, as is, street tires and all. Whatever it runs.......it runs. To hell with the rat racin.

Not trying to rant on ya C6, just be careful about getting into the 1-up game when the new kids on the block arrive. It'll start to take a toll on your pocketbook, believe me.

The reason I'm voicing my displeasure is in 1997 when the LS1 C5 debuted nothing changed for 7 years with the exception of a LS6 intake which is good for 15hp.....I buy mine and the LS2 only had a three year run? My car went obsolete over night...and yes I don't make any major purchases during a contract year, but you can bet your bottom dollar I won't sit stock soon after it's signed...

EDIT_ Like always This Blood , your posts are always top notch and yes nothing you said is wrong...but I'm a little upset...

Yea, I hear ya about the whole becoming obsolete thing. I experienced the same thing, on a smaller scale, back when I bought my 98 stang back in mid 98. I had my car all of a few months when I was suddenly old news.

That's why I got in early on the newer Mustangs. At least when the newer crop arrives, I will be able to relinquish my place in the Mustang hierchy a little more gracefully.[8D]

Just wait till you get some cash built up on the side and you can afford to spend it on your toy. Then doyour homework so you are sure to spend your money wisely on mods, and go for it.

Just try to stay away from Vette-rage the first few months that the newer Corvettes are out on the roads.............k?.

There is no doubt in my mind that this car is a bottom 12 second runner......and yes with the right conditions it will eek out a high 11....It's just everything came so quickly...at least that did'nt do a redesign, I would have REALLY been pissed..lol

That's true....but I feel I will have this car beyond my first required smog check and I'm not about to swap back and forth between headers and the stock manifold for a 35-40hp gain...............UNLESS I obtain a smog connection......The headers will pass the sniffer, the problem is the visual. All it takes is for some dick to spot my headers and screw up my day......A procharger/blower setup is CARB legal so that will be the route I'll take..(500rwhp is perfect)....then I should'nt have to worry about any base anything for a while....Sometimes being a Union worker sucks because every three years you have to worry if the company is going to try and low ball you....so I refrain from making large purchases in the event of a strike........
