So i saw a 99mustang Gtpull out of a Ford Dealer at like 930 last night. I decided to follow him and maybe catch a race. So later down the road we end up side by side at a light. I look over and just laugh cus we both know whats gonna happen. He asks what i got, and i tell him but i didnt get a chance to ask him cus the light changed to green. So we just start off realllll slow then from about 5mph we both floored it simultaneously. All throught 1st we are dead even. All through 2nd, dead even. I dont slam 3rd cus i just dont like too and he pulls a fender. By that time, my turn came so shut it down and turned. He seemed cool and i wish i woulda stopped to talk to him but i had 3 other passengers in my car so i didnt really wanna delay any longer. I was really happy with the way that turned out considering i had 3 extra people and im a NPI.

Thanks guys. I think without the extra weight of the people i might have been able to pull a little. The only mod i could tell he had was an exhaust. I think my NPI is on roids cus i shouldnt he able to hang with PI GT's that well haha.

 

Exactly, especially with 3 people in the car. Only thing I can think of is that your a good driver and his was either a stock auto, or a manual but couldnt drive worth sh*t.

I wonder what it is about Ford on why there is such a disparity between the stick/auto GT's compared to GM and their stick/auto cars? I mean theres a good .4-.5 between a GT 5spd and auto...Thats alot.

 

+1, even a bone stock auto should have raped him with 3 people in his car and his mods. Full boltons on a NPI car adds virutally nothing (maybe 205/210 WHP) compared to his stock 225/235 (215ish ona auto car).

Just stick to racing people pulling out of dealerships that just bought the car

BTW, they made a springtime edition in 1998? I thought it was a 2000 only option? What extras were on the car?

Edit: According to searches via google there is no such thing as a 98 springtime, it was a 2000 only edition?
