I agree... your talking like 3.5 + hp per cubic inch is an everyday thing for a Subra at the rear wheels! If a nascar engine made 3.5 hp per cubic inch at the wheels they would have 1200+ hp, approx 1400hp at the motor... instead of 750...

Maybe im just crazy, but 650 rwhp, even on a front wheel drive, would be a9 second car...

Since when does it matter I drive them to work or not? I fail to see how my present car reflects my knowledge on the subject matter. An underdriven roots supercharger on a 426 cid Hemi will make massive amounts of power, and who cares if it's making an earthquake, that's what a big block does!

Actually, yes, stock bottom end. Go read Hot Rod magazine some time, maybe flip through the back issues and lood for a nice fat roots blown hemi on a green cover. Pretty good reading.

Also, who cares if it's making as much/more power with more cubes? Technology doesn't mean s**t, who crosses the line first does. My little 15 second Saturn (high 15's, but much better than 16.5) is a dinosaur compared to new honda motors, but the simple lack of torque doesn't help them at all.

It's what splits the power between the wheels. Unfortunately, the roll pin for the diff has a tendency to find it's way out of place and from there the carnage happens quickly.......which results in the transmission casing getting a hole eaten through it.

They could do it, but you forgot about two things:

F/I increases power output per cid immensely (NASCAR is still n/a)
They have restrictor plates under the carbs to limit horsepower production.

My point being is that many supras 650whp-900whp (on stock bottom end) are complete daily drivers for a lot of poeple. They drive almost like a stock car and go post 180mph. Its like comparing your car to a funny car. That car will cross the line first, but he'ss trailoring his car in and out and your driving yours home or whatever you do.

As far as bottom end. I'm impressed. What kind of power do you make?
