Well first off I'm not stupid, and I know a new GTO will kill me! But for ***** and giggles I was playing around with one tonight and I don't think he was stock! That car was mean as hell! We finally got open highway and went from about a 65mph roll and I thought I was going in reverse! We 3 honked and it was already over! I hate having a muscle car thats SLOW! I guess I'll have to accept it. Sucks you gotta spend a ton of money to keep up with a stock GM car, let alone a modded one!

GM gave the Vette the good looks,but gave the GTO a good sounding exhaust. I was talking with a GTO owner at a signal light, and when he left , his exhaust note is evident of 400hp. While a Corvette soundsweaksauce..

Not that you or I would really expect to keep up with either a '04 or a '05-'06 from a roll, but do you recall what it was?

As much as I hear about LS1 GTO's, I would LOVE to get the chance to take a shot at one at the track sometime.
I raced a brand new LS2 GTO I believe the year before last, he ran something to the tune of 13.4 with no traction.... or maybe it was closer to 13 flat,,,,,either way, it wouldn't have been close even if I wasn't a track virgin at the time... lol
