i dotn know to much about supras or what they run stock but what would win if both cars were stock? also what do u guys think is a all around better car and has more potential to be fast. i know theres pretty much no stock supra out there any more and theres plenty of 600 hp kenne bell cobra runnin around.

 

I dont know which would be faster but I would love to get a chance to drive a Supra. You dont see many of those around anymore.

I would get the Cobra... I was thinking the same thing you are.. I have 2 friends 1 with a 1000+rwhp Supra...... that hasn't ran in 14 months or so.

cobras are much cooler.

 

a supra has much more potential and its a toyota you only have problems when you start swapping internals. my buddies sc300 is making 812hp with stock internals with a turbo and my sc300 is making 430 with a vortech with stock internals. the supra motor is by far a better motor than the cobras. you buy a supra and 500 dollars worth of electronics and you now have 600 wheel hp

Ya cause "it's a Toyota" seriously, did you just say "it's a Toyota" in a Mustang forum as a reason to buy a Supra over a Cobra as if the Terminator doesn't have huge potential?
I saw 2 "800hp" Toyota Supra's at Byron last year, neither could make it off the starting line. They were very happy Toyota owners, yup.

But really the Cobra from 03-04 cost what, $25K for a modded low milege one? Sound good to me if I has 25K to spend. Cobras put down ~360RWHP and the TT Supra ~ 320RWHP, if I am not mistaken.The aftermarket for the Cobra is larger, providing you with great bolt-on pontentil with out touching anything inside the motor. Intake,pulley, tune, exhaust. Simple, realtively cheap bolt-ons that are effective as hell.
And I would notsay a Supra has more potental, there are plenty of turboed Cobras out-there.How much do you want to spend? USA, UAW made all the way.
