not from what i saw. the other car had him by at least 3-4 car lengths like 5 seconds after launch. even if the dude in the evo was a better driver he still would have lost.

BAM! the cavalier wooped the shi* out of the evo. i couldn't fcking believe it. i wonder what the hell was in it. ??? i heard a turbo for sure. but it sounded like they must have done a motor swap cuz it sure as hell didn't sound like an i4.
well there you have it. one hell of a sleeper.

That'd be called a BOV... blow off valve.

The cavy beat the Evo eh? musta been good girl drivers to romp on an awd car off the line.

As much as I dislike the looks of the new Cavaliers, those ECOTEC engines aren't jokes. Chevy finally put in a DOHC valvetrain instead of pushrods.

I'm assuming the Evo didn't launch right? 'cause that Cavalier would have to be dialing atleast a 1.8s 60' time to take an Evo off the line.

Also, are you sure it was a Cavalier? I don't think any turbo kits are available unless it's the Z24.

Maybe it was an SRT-4? They can be fast with turbo swaps.

The SRT4 can be fast with the stock turbo. All you need is a boost controller.

it wasnt an srt-4 because this was a 2 door car. at first i thought it was one of those new cobalt supercharged cars. but i saw it pretty close up it was a cavalier. but like i said they might have done a motor swap cuz it sounded more like a wrx. and i could hear the turbo pretty clearly. it clearly took the evo off the line (much to my surprise). even if the guy in the evo was a crappier driver he still should have took off quickly. the evo had to be stock though it still had dealer plates.
