Default Track Day *PICS*

Went to the track today my friends parents rented it out for his graduation and birthday party. We were at Union Grove dragstrip. The weather wasnt the best it was in the upper 80s and really humid. I got 12 runs in and i trapped 99mph in7 of the runs and 100 in the other 5. Last time i went to the track we could only run 1/8th mile and i was running 9.0s, so i was hoping for 13s today, but i didnt get it .

Best Time:

60'... 2.230 (Best 60' of the day was a 2.122)
330 ... 6.131
1/8th ... 9.288
MPH ... 78.28
1000 ... 12.013
1/4 ... 14.306
MPH ... 100.17 (Best trap of the day was a 100.39)

Nobody was running good times, my friend with a fullexhuastand lidLS1 whos best is 13.0 could only get a 13.6 at 105. A Mach 1 with exhuast and a tune was running 13.7s . A stock LT1 was running 14.5 at 95mph and the 3 05GTs couldnt do any better than a 14.5 at 96mph. It was the most fun ive ever had at the track just wish the weather was better. Ill get 13s eventually

PICS:

96 Cobra Me- 96 GT

2001 Cobra- best run was a 13.6 at 105mph With Flowmaster catback, intake and short throw.

1994-95 Mustang GT Exhuast, Cam and no tune 14.6 at 99

haha yea it is. His 1982 Trans Am (race/show car)with a 6.6 ran a best of 12.6 at 111, usually runs low 12s. His parents own a performance shop. And his dad owns the only Twin Turbo Ultima GTR in the country, was running mid 10s i think, also should be a lot faster.

Nobody was running good times, my friend with a full bolt on LS1 whos best is 13.0 could only get a 13.6 at 105.

Define "full bolt on"; I'm betting it's not. If it was he'd be looking at at least low 12s, if not high 11s.
BTW good runs, I think I remember you being a lot slower.

yea my bad i didnt mean to put full bolt on, my friends LT1 is full bolt on not the LS1. The LS1 is full exhuast with a cut out and a lid. He did how ever drop it off at Speed Inc after the track to get a cam, 3600 stall, LS6 intake manifold and crank pulley, and tune.

And yea i was a lot slower, this was my first 1/4 mile runs since the PI Swap.

That would definitely be one of the best grad presents. I'd love to have the track to myself, since I have very little experience with tracks it would be a good learning session for me.

That's awesome. Looked like a lot of fun to have the track to yourselves.
