(Long post, sorry, gets interesting at the end)

Ran into an EVO tonight. As I was driving my everyday 35 mile drive home (sucks, just happend to have the stang BTW, weather was nice) I see some of those blue headlights behind me, slow down a bit, and there it was.

First run was from about 80 MPH. I saw em hit it and punched it in forth (had already downshifted). I quickly pulled what had to be at least 6-8 cars on him (at the top of 4th.)

Shut down, and the guy was cool, no ricer flyby. He came up beside me and slowed down. When his rear bumper was at my front, he hit it again with the same results. I was acutally able to catch em, let off it, and then catch em again.

I followed em all the way to town, where he happened to pull off on the same road as me. (another double lane highway) I got next to em and made the "Roll down windows" sign. Asked if he wanted to go and he said yea, and pointed forward. I gave em a sec and then hit it. I really raped em bad, probably 8-10 cars thru the top of 3rd.

We slowed down again and from about 10 mph (we couldnt stop, there were cars coming from behind) he yells" You know where the mall is?" I said "yeah, f this, its to dangerous to talk here".

Slowly pulled away until I heard the turbo spool up (aka he floored it) and I got on it. Thru third gear I was only able to put about 3-3 1/2 cars on him. Later on he told me that the first run he had really screwed up his shifting.

To make a long story shorter, he pulled off an exit before the mall, I went looking for him, found em at wallmart, and he was lost looking for the mall . I asked em what he was looking for and it ended up he was looking for a car dealership right down the road from my house. (they told em it was near the mall, it isnt) Showed em there, and the guy riding with him (little asian guy) was looking for a 240z. 2 cops showed up, searched both of our cars and took a look at our licences. Then told the guy "its a little late to be looking at a car guys" etc etc. Freaking cops. Yeah we are here to bust up and steal these old junkers in a 00 GT and a brand new EVO with our HEADLIGHTS ON.

Anyways, im feeling a little bit better about the mediocre cam results since I am able to pretty much walk an EVO from anything but a dead stop (we never went from a dead stop, which is a good thing, cause either the cold is getting to em or the nittos are warn out, cause I get nothing for traction now)

evo's suck from a roll with their drivetrain loss. you would have been going hard to catch him had you guys hit a light. but you didn't so good kill

 

y did the cops search ur cars?

 

was the evo modded? im thinking cams make a pretty good power mod...if only i could get some.

I dont really think so. Maybe because it was so cold outside, but I was pullin on him pretty hard near the top of third.

I can really get off the line well. JD and others are running the same tires as me (he does have uppers and lowers) and running 1.8s and 1.7s 60'. I have no doubt that he woulda took me off the line at first, but it really looked like I woulda come on by before the 1/4 mile.

I thought they were 13.3 cars? I should be able to pull off at least a 12.99.
