i dont really race mine because its not that fast haha, but i was thinking about getting a supercharger. the only time i race is if i run into someone i know and we're just messing around. i never get challenged either because the 641/2-66's dont really look as fast as the 67+.

I would have raced mine if I had managed to get it running and hold on to it.

Rebuilt 351W, bored to .040 over, Flat Head Pistons, Procomp Ignition, Edlebrock Performer Intake, Edelbrock 650cfm Carb, K&N Xstream Air Filter, Roller Rockers, Mild Cam, T5 Transmission

She would have been a fun car, but alas, college is not that easy on me,lol.

well stock they arnt as fast as the newer ones but they have a lot of potential. i have a lot of plans for mine as soon as i can afford it. just imagine a 408 stroker motor pushing a 2600lb car...now that would be fast

well if the one we get has the 6 then well pull it and put a 351W in, if it has a 289 in it though were gunna pull it strip it down and build it up, bored out forged internals 4vheads and intake, a nice cam, headers, ya know all the goodies, possibly a 9in rear if funds allow. It should be a quick little ride.

My little bro has a 69 mach1, 351w Trick flows, built AOD small cam...Oh, and a 125 shot.
Used to run it a lot, but the local track closed, nowhere to go except the streets, unless you want to drive two hours one way. F that!

well just keep in mind that if you want to go from a 6 to an 8 that you have to pretty much replace the whole drivetrain. you will need a stronger rear end and tranny along with the v8 front suspension to handel the extra weight. personally if i were you i would just try to find one that already has a v8, it would actually probably be cheaper to find a 289 car and swap the 289 for a 351 than to buy a i6 and swap the 351 because of all the extra stuff you have to deal with. just my $.02

maybe even stroke that 351 out to a 408
