My 00' GT beat by 07' 350Z
Last night I raced an 07' 350Z. We were talking to each other when the light turned green wound up leaving first. He put a good two lengths on me whileI proceeded to peel out all through first gear. We raced until about 100mph and he had a good four lenghts on me. Although, it seemed I was kind of coming back toward the end. How is the top-end on these cars?
Good death man, but if you have a stock 00 mustang gt it seems about right losing by 4 car length. those cars are not slow by any means and i dont know why someone would tell you u need a driver mod meaning (you suck at driving ),when in reality we know that is car is just faster period.
Btw those car are not known to pull very hard on top end unless theyhave Fi.

We wre busy talking and the light turned green. I looked at the guy kind of awestruck and he glanced at me and took off. I reacted as soon as I could by dumping the clutch and flooring it, resulting in a mean, tire-screetching burnout. Maybe it looked cool but it didn't help at all. I agree with SRT beast. I need more practice launching my car. My tires are pretty new with only a few K miles on them.
350 Z's arent that hard to get into the high 13's. My buddy has an 07 and we went to the track a few days after he got itand hehorriblybogged hislaunch and still ended up with a 13.8. They are quick cars but in all reality not as fast as people make them out to be.
the 07 Z's are whole different animals from the ones you guys are used to guys.... totally different car

A stock 07 Z will take a stock 00 GT all things being equal. Yeah, it has a bit less torque, but more hp(by a wide margin), more gearing and less weight. It might not be as fast outta the hole but it's a well put together package. Even with good driving, the Z driver would need to be no better than barely mediocre for a stock 00 GT to take one. That being said, a Z ain't the fastest car out there, but neither are stock SN95's.
Now, if you have a bunch of decent mods and he was stock and still beat you by that much, then you need to work on driving
