Default Track Results

So I hit up the local 1/8th mile strip (Qualcomm Stadium in SD), I volunteer there and race during my breaks.

First Race was a Big Block Something or Other, Looked like the car from Pink Caddilac, beat it w/a 9.3
Second Race was a Turbo Integra, it was pushed to the line and I barely won, i got a 8.97 to a 8.99, I thought he won...
Third Race was a 03 GT w/Bolt on's, I got a 8.8, he pulled a 9.5
Fourth Race was newer Bolt on Camaro SS, I pulled a 9.1 vs his 9.3
Fifth Race was a Harley F150 who pulled a 8.8 vs. my 8.9
Sixth Race was against a Big Block Chevy of some type, he got a 7.1 vs my 8.9, was a slaughter, but a fun race
Last Race against a Turbo Civic Hatch..... it was pretty bad, I got a 8.9 vs his 10.1

My Car :
2003 GT, ( Upgraded Mongoose Kit ) Vortech V2, Air to Air Intercooler, Mini Bypass, 10PSI Pulley, 75mm TB/Plenum, O/R H w/Dynomax Race Mufflers. BFG D/R's

My Best 60ft on Drag Radials was 2.03, I'm thinking its time for suspension mods. I can post slips if anyone wants to see them.

Man, I just have to ask if you are like 80 years old. Because I had a 3/4 Bolt on 03 GT when I ran a 8.59 1/8. Now if you are runing it like a old lady and just babying it then thats fine. But you better pull high 7's if you trying

Our track is not well prepped and while I do baby it as I do have to drive her home, its rare that the "standard" times that people over the interweb quote are actually realized at our track.

Ok, Well I just wanted to be shure that the Mustang Police didn't have to come pick that car up from you. It really still suprises me that only high 8.s on 10 psi. Once I get my procharger im going to be runin 8 psi, probally 400+ to wheels. If I ever run slower than a 8.59 I will have to drive my car off the Sunshine

With 2.3 60's I was between 80-85 at the end of the track. I'll take some pics of the timeslips. I think our track just sucks, but I don't launch higher then 3000 as I just spin if I do, I hook great at 2500 but anything higher then that its a disaster as I spin 1st and 2nd.

I really don't have experience with other tracks but I'm putting 400rwhp down and never see better then a 8.8, with suspension mods I'm sure mid to low 8's are possible, but honestly, even upgraded STI's and Evo's dont hit better then mid 8's on this track, race cars are in the mid 7's and the top cars (850rwhp and such) hit 6.9's.

Give the guy a break, its maybehisfirst time at the track and have not got the hang of racing at the drag strip.
Now to find out if your car is running right, what was your mph in the 1/8? Hopefully over 85.

Actually I've been racing on the track for almost a year, just how it is at our track, poor prep means poor times, with suspension upgrades and a line lock I can see mid 8's but without a forged motor and more boost I don't see breaking into the 7's at this track. Then again I baby my car (as mentioned) because its my DD...
