So I'm driving home from work on my usual leasurily pace, when I notice a set of head lights comming fast up my butt. I didn't have space to move over so he roade me for a minute and then squeazed by me on the right, we were doing like 50. As soon as it gets clear he takes off and I do the only thing a mustang driver could do and chase. He sees me comming and pulls over to the right and slows down. We start from a 40mph roll and something wierd happens, we stay nose to nose. Of course I was dissapointed, I thought I could pull on a car that weights over 4000 pounds. I guess having over 300hp will make up for a lot of weight. We got off at the same exit, marauder turning right and me left. We give each other the thumbs up and cruise home. Who knew that these things were so fast?[sm=wtf.gif]

 

Damn guy, he must have a few mods. My wifes Impala SS annhialated Marauders and then after I modded her up a little, should could barely pull on GT's. but after I added the cam and heads (a while back) it was no contest. But I know the mercs can roll with some mods. Having 3.55 gears helps a lot too for those heavy cars. He might have been s/c'd. 4200lbs is alot to move with a 4.6.

Yes they are 4 valve. It is the same motor as a mach 1 without the shaker.

There's a guy in my town with a marauder ,he has a vortech ,headers,cams,and 3.73s .
He can run 11.9s on slicks ,you better watch out for those lead sleds.

 

next door neighbor just bought one an 04...and his came with a Vortech blowing 8psi, totally stock out of the box...not a special car or anything but it was an option i believe.. but man you hear that thing scream its pretty quick for a 4200lb car but no that quick for a supercharged 4200 lb car.

yea there's a guy here with just a vortech on his. he runs 12.80 consistently. (at least last year he was)
