I was checking the website for California Speedway when I saw that they were having street legal drag races this Saturday starting at 9am. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this track and if its worth going. Its a 1/4 mile track.

Truth is this track will be THE place to go in so cal after summer but for now it's not that great. The track was just built (The dragstrip used to be on the southside of the property) and it's still pretty green. Not the best hook and usually gets pretty windy there. Tack temps on saturday should be pretty high also (this is bad BTW).

After september, they will be putting the lights in and there will be friday night 1/4 drags there every week and then it will for sure be the place to go. The old track was pretty good and, in time, this one will be as good or better.

Better off to wait till October IMO and go to FFW. That event is much better and you can get a lot more runs in through qaulifying and racing all weekend long. If you have never been to a FFW event, you should go - it is the absolute best experience for mustang enthusiasts hands down...
