both practicly live in the 4.6 section, that is a great section i learned alot about my car and got alot of help when doing projects when i had my mustang

Sounds like it was pretty evenly matched to me both by cars and drivers.Atleast it seems like a 2-3 car length would make the differance between a high and mid 13 car would'nt it ?

 

Good run.. and good death. Not to bad for the mods...I have a buddy in town with similar mods and the GFs 1996 Auto LT1 lost by half a car to him... I don't even want to know how bad it would be against our white car... I would say you are a pretty good driver and your car responded well to the mods you have.

 

You have a plenum to go along with the T.B. ? They are not worth much by themselves but, are a good intake compliment mod. Gears would also be benefiacal 3.73, 3.90, 4.10.
In a article in 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords a 03 5speed GT made 244 RWHP with 2" Cherry Bombmufflers, CAI, T.B/Plenum, UDP's, and a DiabloSport. Just to give you an rough est.

 

ya i do have a plenum to go wit my T.B . i was thinking about doing 3.73 just cuz i drive the car everyday on the highway and tossing on some underdrive pullys , just for alittle extra hp

 

Thats sounds good, UDP's were worth 5HP, 6TQ peak gains in the article I mention, but are worth atleat 2-5HPfrom 2500 RPMs up to 5200.
I agree with the gear choice, I personally, would not go any higher than 3.73 for a DD seeing hwy/open roads. The added performance ( a few tenths in 1/4 mile) from 4.10's are not worth the higher RPM's on the hwy , to me. If you on the street 99.99% of the time, thenyou don't want the unnessacry motor speed.

Ithink that was a pretty good showing againistthe LS1. Good driver mod.+

 

ima deff going with the 3.73 ... while i was running him like 1st gear and all of 2nd i was a half a car in front then 3rd came and he started to pull good up top but alot of chevy guys tell me that the ls1 pulls good up top .. ill get um next time!

 

it's a lie...the faster you go against an LS1 the better chance you have of passing them...
