Smoked Cobra Yesterday
K well, here are facts on 99 Cobra's.
They are really a drivers race between pre 99's & 99+ GT's, for whatever reason, 99 and older Cobra's have a really poor torque curve, where as 99+ GT's have a much better, flatter torque curve. We put about 15-20 less RWHP down than them and equal TQ numbers..
So here's the deal, a lightly modded or even stock 99+ GT with a good driver is fair game for a pre-99 Cobra. I've ran a 99 Cobra and put about a car on him every time and all I have is 4.10 gears and a MAF.
Of course when it comes to modifying, the pre-99's will eventually blow the doors off a equally modded 99+ GT. But stock for stock it's a drivers race.

if it had horizontal tailights it was a 94-95 like bcisme said. it most likely was an sn-95 cobra and those are not really impressive stock and they are a drag off the line. so i'm kind of surprised to hear he got you off the line.
