I dont think Auroras ever came with a S/C so I could be wrong, but stock I believe they run low 15's in the 1/4 mile. If its really S/C than a high 13 shouldnt be too hard. Which depending on what year the RX-7 is, it could possibly beat it. And the Celica GTS can run high 14's stock with a great driver, but mostly they run low 15's and depending on what shot of Nitrous, I think the S/C Aurora shouldnt have a problem beating it either. And the GTS has to have the 6spd manual to run a high 14 or low 15, if its an auto, they run 16's.

I believe they come with 250hp, but they weigh just shy of 4000lbs.

A buddy of mine has a Buick Riviera (mid/late 90's model) which I believe is the sister car to the Olds Aurora....His has a S/C.....You should lay a beat down on that boat..

I believe the Buick Regal had the option for a S/C in some years, but I bet that thing couldnt crack 14's to save its life.

Well aCelica GTS 6-speed apparently isnt that fast. My best friend raced one in his moms Mini cooper S and pulled it to about 3 cars, then we were filming it in a modded SRT-4 and we passed him to and we weren't even racing....so i don't believe they're to fast.

I would'nt bet against you on that either. He's got a 15 second lead sled tops!!
Putting beat downs on ricers does'nt win you any brownie points in my book...I guess that comment actually is suppose to carry some scare tactic.....Only someone in a Olds..

The Celica GTS's arent fast, they're just decently quick for a N/A 4 cylinder with 180hp. The 6spd has and can run 14.7-14.8 stock, but thats only been achieved a few times by awesome drivers. The average driver would most likely run 15.2-15.3. A few guys I know with a 6spd GTS with exhaust, intake and ported header have ran in the low 14's and this is tuned. One guy pulled a 14.1x with these mods. A Mini Cooper S isnt that quick, probably a low 15 second car itself, and with an average driver or sh*tty driver, I can one pulling a Celica GTS. Hell from a 20mph roll up to about 80mph, I had a Mini Cooper S run right beside me in my auto 01 GT. And an SRT-4 can hit 13's stock so I wouldnt be surprised if one beat a Celica GTS without really trying.

EDIT: I seen you said it was a modded SRT-4, so that definately doesnt surprise me and it shouldnt surprise anybody.

The Aurora came with a 4.0L version of the Northstar with 250hp/260lbft, Cadillac used a bigger 4.6L version with 300hp. I have seen a supercharged 4.0L Northstar before, but it was in a Shelby Series 1, it had close to 400hp. It was a centrifugal supercharger, not sure which make/model.

The only supercharged Northstars ever to come ouf of GM are the 4.4L versions that are in the STS-V, and XLR-V, they have 470hp. The only other engine offered in the Aurora was the 3.5L DOHC V6 with 215hp/230lbft, it was nicknamed the "shortstar".

I would be against that guy having a supercharged 4.0L Aurora.
