NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!
well, kinda sorta. Open to any helpful suggestions/tips. Going to the "local" 1/8 mile track tonight. 1 hr drive, about 93-96 degrees right now, first time at any track, mods are in sig, street tires, clutch that needs replacing, and stock 2.73's. do's and donts??? Not looking for much, maybe 9.7's (thats so dam pitiful [:@]) 'preciate it fellaz, leaving in about an hr or so......
Take alot of the excess weight out of your car like your spare tire and stuff. If you're on street tires don't roll through the water at all, don't do a burnout. When I was on street tires I would spin them a little but not really burn out at all. You should do alright just play with how high you're launching and shifting.
Stand at the starting line and watch for 15 or 20 minutes to see whats going on. Take a helmet with you along with long pants and a shirt with sleeves. Most tracks wont let you run in shorts. Leave on the 3rd yellow light. Dont wait for the green and try to leave at about 2500RPMs on the launch.
yeah, the spare is already out, i wish i could lose about 100lbs or so real quick (about 280ish haha), thanks for the info bout the burnout, i kinda knew that you didnt really need to heatup streeters, makes it worse right? thanks for the verification jp... anyone else? is 9.7's shooting to low/high, however you look at it?? my lil bro put about 8 cars or so on me, and he runs 8.8's, so im figuring .10 per car.......thanks again, now hurry!!!!!!!!!!!!!
edit: ^^^^ sounded kinda like a smartass there, had no intentions of that jp, just so ya know [8D]
