Apparently either of our cars. And he rightfully shouldn't be.

The comment was directed at Sidewayz, we are friends, it's kinda an inside joke.

Stock, yours running 15.0, his 13.0-13.3 .

So, the way you pulled, your must have dropped almost three full seconds. Good job!

You don't understand, that car doesn't run anywhere near 13's up here. That's car is about a mid 14 second car up here. Brand new vipers run high13's here, 99-02 Cobras are in the 15's. A stock fox body mustang typically runs in the mid-high 16's. If that gives you any kind of an idea.

BTW...The autos are generally a tick faster than the 6-speeds due to the gearing in the T56.
Whaaaaaa? Nobody told my car this. 6-speeds do appear to be a bit faster, all else being equal. Less drivetrain loss and steeper rear diff gearing.

Yeah..someone didn't fill me in on the autos being quicker... consistant...hells yeah..but quicker? I think the 6 speeds win out due to slight advantage of gearing/power.

4l60es have a better 1st gear and if you've got the optional 3.23s then autos are typically faster than T56s unless you've got a good driver

and with an auto you can tune the shifts to be faster/firmer

Uh.. there is no 'unless you've got a good driver' scenario...if you are going to say the auto is faster you have to assume equal drivers or it's a skewed perception to say the least.

I had a 4L60E with 3.23s and it was not faster / quicker than the T-56 cars at the track...I ran good times but couldn't compete with the M6 cars in anything but the 1/8th mile.

After the manual valvebody/tuning/kevlar clutches/stall/shiftkit it was a different story but then you are comparing 2200.00 built trans vs stock T56... not really a good comparo IMHO.

If my car was a 6-speed, it would be faster when stock than it is after the mods I've done (mods and ET in sig).
