So I was on my way home from a friend's house. I saw a 350Z pass the intersection I was waiting on and started to slow down when I turned onto the street to head home.I stayed under 5 of the speed limitsince I knew my car couldn't keep up with it. We get doorto door andhe shoots off, wanting to do a roll start race. Me, I have no interest in racing. But at the next intersection, the light is red. Luckyme. They are both staring at me, and I'm just trying to ignore them, but plan to humor them. I drop ittoLow, the lightturnsgreen, and we both floor it. Thru first,I keep up, then he zooms off like I knew he would. I'm sure they got a kick out of it. You know, beating a GT....although I drive a V6. To non-stang drivers, my car could get confused as a GT, as it often does. Sadly, even a guy in aCobra thought my car was a GT.

 

Why the confusion? You got GT badges or something?

people think my car is a gt, which i dont get. no badges, the fuex gas cap doesnt say gt, and my license plate has "V6" in it for cryin out loud lol.

they make me pop the hood sometimes lol

Nice death man. But you know, it dont cost as much as people think it would to make the new v6's run low 14's or high 13's. I'm pretty sure low 14's can be achieved with full exhaust, gears, intake and a good tune on some DR's. Only thing I can tell you, is start modding.

 

Well, I got an 04. Here is a pic of my car. I dunno why it gets confused for a GT. I only havethe badges thathas holes behind it. And this was before I got my rims thrown on. And I know it needs to be lowered, and that will be remedied soon enough. I think maybe its the hood that gets it confused with a GT? My bumper isn't the one with the exhaust cut outs. I just don't know. Its an auto, and completely stock underneath the hood.
