Default WRX burned

Drivin home other day noticed a wrx with a kid about 19 or so lol, managed to get up behind him at a light and he was revving. Right there I had an immediate 1 or so car lengh disadvantage. And being behind him I had to wait to see if he was going to floor it or not because I didnt want that ugly blue paint on my bumper.

He floored it and so did I. About 60ish mph I was pulling hard and about 90ish when I hadda slam on my brakes due to traffic ahead I was at least 1 car length in front of him. I pulled into the gas station to buy some brew and he pulled in behind me and we actually bs'd for a few minutes. He was a cool guy to say the least, and of course he used the I have a 4 cylinder and you have 8 excuse but either way I was not expecting that as the wrx's are pretty damn quick.

The best part was the worried look I could see on his face on his rear view mirror as he was being reeled in lol. I even said I wonder how much worse it would have been if we were both lined up at a light instead of me behind him lol.

DUMBASS... for the waiting soo long to brake. Yeah i street race but i dont want till I have to SLAM the Brakes. Personally i would LOVE to have a WRX in WR Blue. With the Yellow Subie Flag on it, yeah id definately Rally it out. Good kill. Did he say he had any mods?

I'd think a stock auto 04 GT would be a pretty good race against a stock WRX.

A regular WRX only shines 0 to about 40 ish. It's a traction monster. But once you reach a speed where traction is not the limiting factor, you gotta remember than a stock WRX only puts down about 165 awhp. Basically, a stock +05 stang puts down almost 100 more horsepower than a stock WRX. A stock WRX runs out of steam very quickly after the launch. Here's a stock WRX dyno if you care. http://images.sportcompactcarweb.com...aruwrx04_z.jpg

I think your specs are a weeeee bit short. It is pushing over 200 horses and over 200 ft lbs of torque.

Engines & Power(more) 2.5 RS WRX Standard Engine 2.5L 165 hp
H4 2.0L 227 hp H4 Horsepower 165 @ 5600 RPM 227 @ 6000 RPM Torque (lb-ft) 166 @ 4000 RPM 217 @ 4000 RPM

Nah corners is correct on the whp numbers. Stock WRXs definitely don't dyno anywhere close to 200whp, most average in the 165-175 range.

I had a mongoose kit for my old GT - MPH is great to work with. Highly recommended.
