WRX
This is a pretty funny story. My friend is looking to buy a 2002 WRX. He test drove it, then let me test drive it too. As I was driving around town, I came up to a red light. All of a sudden another WRX pulls up next to me. He revved at me, then rolled down his window and asked me what I had done to it. I said nothin, just testdriving this car. He kind of grinned and said he had intake and exhaust. So as the light went green, we both punched it. Through first we were even, but then as soon as I hit second, I started pulling a little bit. At the end of second I had about a car on him. We stopped there because we caught up to traffic. He quickly made a left turn to avoid me. This is pretty funny. He was modded and I wasn't, plus this was the first time I had driven a WRX. It was a very nice car though.
They made a LOT of autos. Most RICERS (as opposed to real import enthusiasts) have those. The STi is 6spd only.
Funny how intakes take hp away, complete contrast with the Cobra, which makes 30 to 40 hp alone with an aftermarket intake. No replacement for displacement I guess (even though the Cobra is running at a lot lower boost).

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but is there a non-turbo WRX? I saw a WRX impreza with some crazy spoiler, big exhaust and crazy looking headlights. It looked like it was meant for rally racing. I didn't hear the BOV.....[sm=dontgetit.gif]

No pics, just imagine a WRX without the hoodscoop.
02-03 WRX, 2.0 flat four, turbo, 227 hp 217 ft lbs torque - 04+ models have same headlight shape as the STi pictured below, but with the same size hood scoop.

04-05 WRX STi, 2.5 flat four, turbo, 300 hp 300 ft lbs torque, variable center differential
