Why zre cars 1/2 a second slower at KCIR? I did cut a 1.8 60' on the run that you have an issue with. Sorry but I am not going to put a M6 back into my car along with all the other parts that I don't even have anymore just to prove you wrong.
that would be cool , but u shouldnt waste ur time just to prove a point

Finally raced one of my friends he has a 199x LS1 M6 with just a catback and I have a 01 cobra with a JLT RAI, he's kinda been talking smack and such. So tonight were cruising along, then we get to a nice point to race from a roll. We went twice both from 45mphish rolls. First time, jumped a car length instantly then pulled another 2. He said he didnt start off good...so we went again, this time I pulled about half a car right away, and ended up with about a car length or more at 85-90mph. He's a decent driver. Over all Im happy with the results....4v ftmw...its alot better then my old non-pi.
Congrats on the Kill. Gotta love humbling those LS's.

It was an M6
Crap, there gonna need another excuse now

The LS1 cannot loose, you must have cheated or done a lS7 swap into your mustang. A LS7 swap in a 01 cobra should just barely edge out a stock LS1 Fbody with a couple anvils in the trunk. Usually the LS7 is faster... but in a mustang chassis it looses like 200 WHP.
LoL

On motor....
The science doesn't lie. I still say put the LS1 against a similarly displaced Chevy or Even Mopar engine. Comparing the 4.6 to the 5.7 only shows that Ford is not trying IMO. A 5.4 4 valve I think would be a nightmare to the LS1 if you ask me. They have enough trouble with the 4.6 3 and 4 valve. Well, at least they've had to give it their best when I've raced them(cocky, but someone has to Stang eye to eye with the LS boyz).

Honestly it still had to do with MPH...I shift from 1st gear at ~40mph... so that would be just into 2nd gear with no momentum.. If the Cobra started off with a better rpm range I could see a short range not turning out well...
Get out of here with that crap!
Maybe when you bounce the rev limiter, Otherwise when you shift into 2nd you are probably at about 3K??? Which would put you right back in your Torque and Power band.
Someone with a M6 F body where are you at 40 MPH in 2nd?
Heres a dyno from my friends 99 SS with a lid and Exhaust, Tell me where the weak spot is!
Didn't say it was a weak spot exactly... do I literally have to give you a comprehensive breakdown here??

Since I OWN an M6 F-body (not that hard to figure out either...) I can tell you 40mph is ~3200rpm... if the cobra started off higher in his powerband he would have an advantage. This isnt hard to comprehend...honestly.

Drive down to KCIR, go back to your mods like you were talking about, and run about 1/2+ second slower, and we can go for beer afterwards
That may be a bit unrealistic for JD but I can shoot over there on a weekend afternoon. Let me know when you're going and we'll see if the KC gremlins manage to grab on and lump an extra .5 onto my timeslip.
