he isn't a landlord. He works with other large real-estate companies and sells groups of complexes and resorts and stuff. He doesn't actually own any of it, he just makes the deal and takes a nice cut. Sometimes he will get a condo out of the deal or something, but usually he just gets like 1% of the selling price which when i was younger thought was a really small amount, but when he is selling 25,000,000 condominiums and resorts it's alot of money for not doing all that much.
