theres 2 in the city im in, both owned by car dealerships
they are extremely hard to spot on the road... I've seen one or two
an old guy was trying to sell me one and he gave me his card and stuff... he gave me a nice little tidbit of info that if he diddn't I prolly wouldn't have recognized the SRT6 an SRT6...
the base model has a flip up push button wing... the SRT has a fixed in place fiberglass wing that is always visible

"Underhood, the 215-horsepower Mercedes 3.2-liter V-6 in the stock Crossfire is replaced by an AMG-built, 330-horsepower, supercharged version, which also makes 310 pound-feet of torque. "The only available transmission is an M-B five-speed automatic that has TouchShift-oops, sorry, AutoStick-manual operation."straight from the magazine u so highly prize....

the only obvious difference of the SRT6 is the tiny badge, the fixed wing, and the wheels...i notice them quite a bit, but i worked for a chain of DCJ dealerships, and saw them regularly side by side (base models and srt6 models)
they market it as the vipers little brother, two seater, cheaper and it still has some go, plus you could get them as a m6 i bielieve and they were a prety fun little car, but mostly bought by dbags in thier 40s

most people's biggest complaint is that they didnt have a manual trans option...the car would have been MUCH quicker with a manual. they are fun cars, but the sloppy auto trans is a turn off.
The no so obvious problem with racing with the family in the car is the lesson it teaches them.
Aside from the danger you put them in. That's for you to decide at the time. A little throttle here and there or a small burnout. That's usually not going to kill anyone.
Picture this. Kids see Daddy racing. Pick up the adrenaline rush, just like Dad is getting. When it's time for them to drive (16 years old). They were think it's ok to street race. . . . and there is the difference. We do it and we know it wrong. They will do it because Daddy used to do it. Difference , yes.
