My friend took his 96 gt (mostly stock, auto tran.) to the track.. he pulled a 14.1 so i ask to check out his timeslip, because im wondering howthis is possible. To my disbelief, his 60' time was a 1.4, on stock tires!! This makes me mad because the best i ever got out of my nittos was a 1.9... It was his first time at the track too! compliments to him for this amazing launch, but im just wondering how the hell this was possible. discuss.

My buddy pulls the front tires rather high on his 1.4-1.5 launches. On stock tires a 2.0 would be pretty damn respectable. I'm hoping to just hit 1.9 with Nittos, I'd be very happy with that.

Prob left the lights or staging beams with his rear tires and not the front LOL..1/2 second head start....LOL......Beleive it or not....I HAVE SEEN THIS HAPPEN....funny as hell....test and tune,,,2 young kids in moms cars..stage with the rear wheels.(both of them)..!!!!!! the starting line guy ,tried waving them back...but they just sat there...so he tripped the tree and away they went!!!!!..The starting line guy threw his hands up in the air and looked at the crowd...funny as hell....

1- stock GT even with slicks 6-7k dump, dead hookwill not cut 1.4x 60'
2- stock tires WILL NEVER cut 1.4 60' even if the car would have a 500rwhp.
simply clocks were messed up at track. your buddy probably ran 15s with 2.x 60'

My velle turned 1.30's and runs 9.60's....

But yes no well on Gods green earth wouild it ever turn a 1.40's on streettires..and minor mods.
