Me vs. C6

Thanks for not making my car seem so inferior by only typing up six...lol

I originally typed 8, but changed it to 6 as to not seem like a douche.

Not a real exciting story, but on the way home from work, I saw an orange C6 coming up in the right hand lane (3 lane highway - speed limit 65). I was in the middle lane doing about 70. It was 89 degrees out or so, but I had my windows down. As he got into my blindspot, I hear him downshift and nail it. I was in in 6th and let him pull 2 cars on me until I went to 3rd. I stood on it and reeled him in at about 95 and blew by him. I redlined 3rd, shifted to 4th at about 130 and hit the brakes. He was a good 6 behind me. He gave me a thumbs up when he passed. For whatever reason, I don't think he knew I was a Z06 until I flew by him.
I tried to set up another roll race with him, but traffic didn't permit. I very rarely get to run against anyone, so that was the hightlight of my month.

I thought I was done this stuff and bought the car just for the retro look,I looked at the GT andimo at only 300HP VS thecompetition onthe marketand my past street carsthoughtjust go with the 4.0 sinceI'm done with fast street cars anyway. Thenafter I boughtit I really started liking this car and decided to find a little more go for it so found this group buy on the S/C for $3400.00 and just installed it myself.
I am a former Vette owner also (plus otherbuilt street cars in past)last one was a 95 , futher plans are since I got bit again by the performance bugpossible GT 500 S/C 5.4 swapand supporting componets or might just go for GT 500 Shelby as prices are falling. They are getting around 650rwhp out of these GT 500 motors with porting the blower and misc stuff , tune bolt on etc, there is also a new KB (2.8) S/C out and they are putting down up to 820+ rwhp all of the above on a stock long block

+1 with the kb on the GT500 but ive read that once you get over 600-650+rwhp on theses shelby's thier bottom end are under borrowed time before they break.. the termi's are only capable of that power with the stock internals but then again their own borrowed time as well... so whatever you do have fun
