Default 2007 Audi S4 Kill

Hey guys, I have a small kill story.

Today while I was headed out to lunch, I approach a red light that has two lanes and is open for about 1.4 mile, maybe a bit more. This audi S4 pulls next to me, and since it is a long light, the guy starts talk ing to me. The guys asks me what year my car is, what kind of power, etc. I ask the same and find out that it is a 2007 Audi S4. The good thing one that is was a sedan, not a cabriolet. He asked if I would run him becuase he just got it from the dealer. I told him only a dig. He agreed so we prepped before the light turn. Immediately, the guy reacted and floored it, and put a good 1/2 car on me. I launched at 2500RPM and pulled hard, and after a few seconds I started reeling him in and a bit and finally after my car shifts to 3 I pass him and put a good length on him. We shut down at about 90MPH. We came to the next light, and the guy said that my car was a monster, and if he runs into me again, he wants a rematch(I work at Grainger right down the street from where he works, so, we would bump into one another I am sure) He gave me a thumbs up, and we went our separate ways. He had a 6Sp. triptronic, so it was would be pretty hard for him to not keep up. Since driver mods only played a small factor here, I know the S4 was run to near full if not full potential. I thought this was a pretty good run.

Sweet kill. Those Audi "S" cars are all pretty sweet and run hard.

That sounds exactly like what I was expecting. Good race. The only Audi S car that could give a S197 a run for its money is an S6 or S8. I'm a big Audi/VW fan, I had a chance to drive an Audi RS6-Plus. That was the fastest and easiest to drive fast car I've ever driven.

Now go race an RS4

I am glad to hear it. No worries man. That really sucks though. I hope that allstate does not try to cheat you out of anything. They have been somewhat known to do that. That is why I switched to progressive, then to geico, then to progressive again. Rates keep going up and down all damn day.

stk~ The RS models I think are at least a second faster. They can run consistent 13 flats. I almost raced one a little while back, but, I knew he would slaughter me, and I just bought my car, and knew that it was not in the best state to run, to new an engine ya know. I am sure know that I have miles on my car, I would be a good run for one with just my exhaust.

Nice kill man! S4s are no joke!

I just switched to Allstate from Progressive, I'm happy with them so far but I haven't had any claims yet. Their customer service and follow up seems to be pretty good though. Their rates were like $850 per year less than Progressive's for me!

Just a question, what is done to your mustang? I know the newer v8 s4 put out like 360, and they are pretty quick.

I used to have quite a few mods. Right now exhaust. The new 2007 S4's pull 340 HP at the crank, but weight about 400 lbs. more then my car. Stock, they run 14 sec. 1/4 miles. They are better off from roll racing. But because they only have about 300 Crank TQ, an S197 with a decent driver being stock would beat one. I typically would run a high 13 in my current state right now. When I had my mods, I ran a 13.2.

Wow, a kid that lives a couple blocks away from me has one in that S4 blue and this thing is fast, even when he had it stock I crapped myself when I went for a ride in his, I could have swore that the 04s had like 358 or something like that.
