Open mouth, Insert foot.
I was at a light tonight going to get gas. Up pulls a civic hatchback. It looked like the typical box of Rice complete with coffee can exhaust, and half and half paint. So He creeped so his rear quarter panel was at the front of my car, I started laughing and said your gonna need that head start.
The light turns green and we both hit it. I pull 1st to redline and pull a car on him, I get second to about 5000RPMs and he's dead even on me, I go a little into 3rd and he started leading me a little then I shut down because like I've said before I've got my limit on the street. He definitely had a turbo because I heard that blow off valve going, and I can hear the turbo spooling up.
Holy crap though, that thing surprised the **** out of me! I didn't expect that, and I bet if we kept going he would have kept pulling away on me. Man talk about open mouth, insert foot. I tucked my tail between my legs and walked away on that one!
Oh well, atleast I can admit it. I guess that's god's way of putting me in my place for being an arrogant *** with my new stang.
Moral of the story is if your going to cook some rice, make sure it's not pressurized before you try cooking it. HAHAHA!

Well, sounds like you took it like a man! At least you didn't do a ricer flyby! LOL. Who would of thought this would be the outcome?? The next9 civics you race will probably go as expected, but then it will be that tenth one that does it again. Be ready for him/her!

Yeah it will happen like that too. I'll roast the next 9 and be all arrogant again, then I'll get put in my place again. Probably this time by a Chevy Citation sleeper. HAHA!

I did the same thing, I was at a light and I saw this purple crx behind me, had a body kit and all, totaly riced out, I kinda rev a little, he looks right at me. well light turns green, it was a turning lane so I got around the turn and nail it like I gona show him something.......... he pulled out and came around me......... let off and hit it a few times next to me and left me, I gave it everything I was just like damn......... thats all I could say. It can happen, lol.
