Im just riding along and I see this wrx coming up on me kinda fast, it passes me and this guy riding shotgunlooks at my car hard, we go along and get a little traffic just leaving a light, Im driving easy shifted into 3rd at like 2 grand when it comes by me hard...... guy riding shotgun is yelling some stuff out the window and laughing at me, my buddy with was like make him look stupid, so I roll into it from 3rd after it has like 2 or 3 cars on me, when I got to 4th I was passing him, I see the guy stop laughing and pick up his chin, bout this time we are at a red light. The guy shotgun was like hey wana see what they got, me and my buddy were like no way you got a turbo and awd, you can just dump it a 5 grand, the guy is like "well we wont dump, we both have 240hp its a good race" as he chuckles, I was like on "Ill try". well light turns green I leave bout half as hard as I can, when I hit 2nd I had him by 2 cars, when I cherped 3rd he was to far away to here it, I hit 4th and let off, I looked back and he was like 6 or 7 cars back.......... I didnt want the race, he wanted it and he got it.

 

That happens to me almost every time I go for a ride. I think they do not realize the snake or in your case 5.0 badge = a loss. Those 5.0's were always quick out of the hole, bet it is a monster with 3.73's.

Was it a sti or no? I'm not saying your car is slow by any means, but something just doesnt seem right about the 6-7 car lead by 4th gear (90-100mph with your 3.73 im guessing?) Seems like he screwed up his launch, but nice race. good job

 

no not an sti just a wrx, I think he let off when I hit 3rd.

 

I've ran a wrx before (non sti) and I had a good outcome just without that much of a jump, plus I also have stock 3.08 and not 3.73. 3rd is the sweet spot eh? He got scurr'd[8D]

 

Base model WRX's run mid to low 14's stock, and with your mods you might be in the 13's. I'd say the driver sucked or it was an RS. Nice kill though.

Good kill. Seen WRX's run mid 14's at the track. Great thing about the old foxes. You might get a 16 second piece of junk or get a 10 sec. [sm=icon_rock.gif]monster. Ya never know!

 

wrxs arent fast at all unless you put money into them.
