he jumped me from the line till i half way thru first. chirped second shot about a car ahead, let off at 80. i know he was on it because we were both at a show and he asked me to run. now i wana know what kind of powerthese have when with basic mods.
Yeah...my dad wants to get a new S8, nothing like a lambo V-10 in a sedan[8D]
Too bad he probably wont since my mom is being a bitch and wont let him trade in the Jag, which I think is pretty ****ed up since shes never worked a day in her life and he works his *** off at least 10 hours a day 7 days a week.[:@]

If was a B5 S4 ('99-'02) they have a twin-turbo 2.7 V6. They're rated at 255, but w/ just a chip, they quickly pass the 300hp mark. Add some bolt-ons and they are pretty easy to get 400hp out of. Stock though, they're low-mid 14's. The B6 ('03-'05)and B7 ('06-'07) S4's have 340hp 4.2 V8's. They're quicker out-of-the-box than the biturbo V6 S4's, but have far less potential. They don't have much aftermarket support, and the engineliterally FILLS the enginebay. If you ever saw under the hood of one, you'd be amazed......

Thats the one thing I HATE about Audi's, their engines are pushes all the way infront of the front axle. I have seen under the hood of both a S4 and RS4, absolutely no room to work.

Swap on some RS4 parts, and you can come close to 500hp.

Are you referring to the B5 gen or the B6-B7 gens????? Because the S4's 4.2 V8, and the RS4's 4.2 V8 are VERY different....
And you're right about working on them. I recently had to replace the passenger-side low-beam bulb on my A4, and it was a 3-hour job. I had to remove the entire airbox assembly, as well as the turbo's heat shield. Damn German engineering..............[:@]
