I was suprised by how he didn't pull on me, but I don't think he had a short throw or if it was even a manual or not, it seemed like thats where I had him, just quick on the shifts otherwise the power wasn't the issue, but suprised that it didn't pull away from me given 40hp more than me

I would say that a race between you and a C5 Z06 would be a drivers race anyway. I ran 1/8th mile in my s/c'd GT (2004 model) and it was a pretty good race against my bro's 03 Z06. I ran an 8.02 and he ran an 8.04. Any farther than a 1/4 mile he would have rowed me.
