Hi guys. I'm kinda new to this forum. I have a completely stock 2001 V6 5 speed manual and some highschool kid with a Stock 2003 Mitsubishi eclips GTS wants to race me. whos going to win?

Sorry for my worthless post, so to make-up for it I looked up this kind of car on dragtimes.com to give you a rough idea. The 2003 V6 ran a 15.6, but I dont know what a GTS is. Is it a 4cyl or 6cyl? You can dust a 4cyl one, but I dont know if you could beat the V6. Anything is possible, though.

 

mid 15 seconds @ low 90's MPH vs mid 15 second car @ low 90's MPH

the edge will go to you, but it's up to you whether you keep that edge sharp with some boss driving skills

Your cars a pretty evenly matched, make sure you race him from a dig.

sence when is a 99-04 stock V6 stang a 15 second car? The eclispe has the edge. You need to out drive him, make sure you get a good luanch.

You better bring your driver mod. On a side note make sure your car is good to go. Tire preesure, Fr: 40psi, Rr: 35-37psi. Make sure your air filter is clean and remove the rubber boot on the end of the intake. Also your fuel filter should be new, and run some injector cleaner, soon. Clean out the throttle body , and remove the sparetire and jack before you run. Also make sure anything else like your book-bag, is not rolling around in the trunk.
