dumbest race ever!!!
Ok, so the other night I was cruising around town enjoying a nice night with the top down listening to my new exhaust. I stop at a redlight and a newer 06-08 Dodge deisel dually pulls up next to me and starts revving. I just looked at the kid and said "you can't be serious!". He told me that I didn't understand how fast those trucks are with the turbo. The light goes green and I ease into the throttle, not wanting to waste my tires on this punk. By the time I hit second gear I was so far ahead of him I let off. We caught another light and the kid says "Oh, I didn't see the GT badge on the side". You would have thought he would have heard the FRPP Stingers!! IDIOT. So that was my first kill. Pretty worthless!

Nice kill man.Was it a turbo Diesel? If so, those dually's will run mid 12's all day long.

if it was the 6.7L turbo diesel, they push out about 350 HP and about 650 FT/LBS. of TQ. They can do mid 12's with a good driver, as is. With mods, they will do low. Now if it was the 5.7 L, then we are taking high 13's low 14's. Good run either way.
yeah, it'll a computer upgrade to up the boost and even then, if its a dually, i think it'll take more than just your basic upgrades to get a dually into the 12's. must mildly modded turbo desiels i've seen run low 14's. the ones with heavier modes run anywhere high 12's to mid 13's
If you think about it, the SRT-10 has 150 more HP, but has over 100LBS of tq less. The SRT-10 gets peak torque at about 4,200 RPM, which is rated at 525 LBS of TQ. the Dually, gets 650 LBS of TQ at 1,600 RPM. That is a huge difference. Off the line those dually's move out really quick. Of course, it will not match the 155 limit the SRT-10 has, but off the line, it is very close. Either way, fast trucks. I figured that because this guy has a convertible, which even with an ehaust(chuckle), they will run low 14's high 13's with a good driver due to the weight. These duallys, as a couple of you have claimed, run 14's. So, how would this GT be "so" far ahead? I'm not calling bs, I am saying, that would be a good run.
I don't know much about diesels so I can't say which engine it was. But it was NOT fast. I have an auto and as you said a vert....and it was not close. Also, in montana, not too many farmers are setting their pickups up to run the 1/4 mile.
haha. True indeed my friend. I am sure it was a normal 5.7 that thought he was big shi* and you layed the smack down. Good run....What part of MT are you in. I have some family that just bought like 200+ acrres of land north of Billings.
