This kid at school is talkin trash that it 06 eclipse GT with exhaust, cai, and chip could beat my 86 GT with full exhaust and shift kit... Just wondering what are his chances???

By 3 to 5 10ths of a second at a track or a couple lenths in a street race.

 

They have 263 hp stock and runabout a 14.9

 

Aint that sad? lol. almost 270 horses and cant even get low 14's. They are heavy as hell.

 

Spend $600 bucks on a nitrous setup and kill that ricer.

 

They are pretty quick cars. They have about 225 RWHP. The guys on another forum I am a member of Club4GEclipse, some of them with full-bolt-ons have broke into the 13's, and some in the mid 13's. Despite theirweight, they move. I have an 06 Eclipse GT. Then again, because they have very little traction, if you hooked from a dig, you might be able to take him. I'd say drivers race.

 

He'll probably win.......
