Default s2000 vs STI

hey guys my friend has a bone stock s2000, he raced an STI (dnt know the mods on the freeway) 70 mph roll 3 times, and the s2k edged him out all 3 times and won, i was shocked, becuase im sure sti's wud take a **** on s2k's, but i was doing research and some people were saying that STI's and EVO's arnt great off roll, only launch. is that true? the turbo on the STI, does it die out when it gets into higher mph? feed me info im hungry!! THANKS@!

Stock for stock, equal drivers, the STi should have won, but you never know. I have several friends w/ STi's, and they aren't near as strong from a roll as they are from a dig. Their gearing and awd hurts them from a roll. I used to have '06 350Z w/a few bolt-onsand when I'd race my friends' Sti's or Evo's, id't be close to 90 or so, then I'd just walk away. By 130ish, the STi would be a good5ish cars back, the Evo's a little farther. From a 50 or 60 roll, they would usually get 1/2 car on me, then I'd reel them in and keep pulling. And awell-driven Zwill walk an S2000 on the highway. So, although close, the Evo or Sti should still will win. Driver skill makes a big difference though. From a dig though, those cars are beasts. And most owners are smart enough to try to do dig races, cause that's their strong point......

ohh sick, 350'z are sick *** rides, prob because 300zx was a dream of mine and 350 is the upgrade loll, what did you run with your bolt ons? i heard the new 350z hit 13.77 1/4 mile, thats impressive so if your gon trade in your audi, look for the 350 ;]
but if you want to stick with audi my friend got an s4, handling is "WOW" accerlation is watevers, not as good as the older models, but still its an audi, so its all good

Well, the only time I got to run it was w/ the cai. I got a best of 9.17 in the 1/8. I later had exhaust, intake plenum, and plenum spacer. The new '07 Z's have gone 13.30's, and I know a guy w/ one that's identical to mine except color, and it's really close. About a car length in his favor. The '06 Z's were 13.60's at best so I'd prolly say perfect conditions, mine was in between the two. One of my friends also had an '04 Nagaro Blue S4. They're damn nice cars. Pretty quick, too. But I'm gonna keep our A4 for a little while longer. Then I'll prolly buy another sportscar next summer......
