rice god
so im talking to this kid i know who thinks he is paul walker or something and lives fast and furious. ok some backround on this kid, drove a civic with a huge bodykit then upgraded to a POS evo 8. my ex gfs 98 bmw like 321i, or whatever the base model 3 series is, beat his civic. then his evo lost to one of my buddies mostly stock civic. yeah POS. well firstly he tried to tell me that his evo was the fastest thing on earth and he raced and destroyed a termi. then he said he was thinking about buying this 02 RSX with, get this, 700 whp all motor. he tried to tell me a like 2.1L i think 4 banger was making that much power. I called bull**** but he swore up and down it was true. hes full of sh*t right? is that even possible?
*side note another friend told me his 04 i think stockmazda 6 was running 13.6 1/4 mile. that sound right? i thought he may be bsing a bit but i dont know anything about mazdas

EVO really should not have lost it shoudl have utterly walked the Civic. Sounds like he either cant drive or his car has problems.
And 2.1 making 700whp is possible...if your talking F1 cars. Still they use V8's or V10 and rev to 19,000rpm.
In otherwords...he is an ***. Really wish I knew what people saw in the Honda crap. Ok the Civic Type R is a fairly decent everyday hot hatch. But when people start saying they have the best engines ever and that it sounds better than a V8 or V12. Well I just want to slap them.
Still the Integra DC5 is a decent drivers car if you like hitting twisty roads. And thankfully all the ones here in the UK are Jap spec imports. Not the Acura RSX Versions which are crap. Just because the look similar means nothing.

The Mazda 6 should be more like a 15.6, not 13.6. There's no way an Evo got beat by a Civic with just exhaust and cold air intake and a tune. Maybe if it wasn't an Evo and just a regular old Lancer. And the story about the RSX is just plain hilarious. You shouldn't even have to question it. lol

EVO's are great if you live in the UK. We had the 400hp daddies The EVO FQ 400... The FQ in the name stands for "****ing Quick". 0-60 in 3.5 seconds as standard. Not the crap 276hp ones you guys get with half the handling goodies removed and ****tier transmissions. Our lowest powered EVO is the 305hp FQ300. No idea why they were never sold outside of the UK though seems a bit daft.
The US Market and European Market versions were crap in comparison. But the EVO is a very sought after enthusiast car here with a large following and on the roads we have. Possibly the quickest A to B car on the road. Still the stang will have far more "Street cred" and sound better.

Yeah, 700whp from a 2.1L I4 naturally aspirated? I don't think my arms are big enough to lift a BS flag that huge. Formula 1 cars are currently 2.4L V8's(as of the new FIA regulations starting in 2006 I think?) and they have to turn upwards of 19,000rpm like wozz said, in order to make around 750-800hp at the crank. You're also talking about a car where around $250 million PER CAR per season is spent(the bigger teams like Ferrari, Mercedes and BMW spend around $500 million for 2 cars each season). Theoretically I don't think it's even possible to get 700whp out of a 2.1L naturally aspirated I4 powered car, if it could even actually produce the power, since 4 bangers have more vibration than a V8, 10, 12 etc you start having some major problems with torsional excitation, if the engine doesn't actually rip itself apart the excitation will restrict power output quite severely. A 700whp 2.1L engine would be on par with a top team F1 engine, producing over 5hp/cubic inch all engine
EVO 8 getting beat by an intake, exhaust and tuned Civic, LOL. The EVO 8 driver needs the driver mod bad, and a 700whp N/A RSX-S is funny. If it was built with a turbo, than I can believe a 900whp RSX-S, but not N/A.
