SRT-8 or GTO?
My dad is either going to buy a GTO,a challenger r/t, or a challengersrt-8. If u were him, which car would u buy and why? I think he's leaning towards the challenger but doesn't know if he want to spend the extra $5k for only70hp(might do bolt-ons or charger instead). Thanx ahead, wanted to seewhat other people would dowith this decision.
I would think that the challenger srt-8 would be the coolest just for the fact that its the challenger and not the charger. That being said I have a soft spot in my heart for the LS2 gto.
GTO is probably the best bang for the buck. Those cars catch a lot of flak, but they're pretty cool imo and they have an LS engine! Which makes that extra money he's saving go a long way if he's looking to modify it....
Not surehow much he's gonna mod the car. If it's the r/t or GTOI no he will do a minimum ofhi-flow mufflersand cai(possibly gears depending on milage he gets first).SRT-8I'm not sure. I no the GTO is cool andpowerful, but he love's mopar's for some reason(mom drives a MangoDaytonaCharger R/T). Hesaid he'll decide after he testdrives everything. Interesting input so far!
The challenger would be sweet, although the GTO is the better bang for the buck it will handle, better/more comfortable interior, and most of the time will beat the mopar stock for stock. There seems to be a better aftermarket for the LS engine as opposed to the hemi..... did they ever get that tuning issue figured out with those anyway?
