So I don't know anything about them besides my impression that they were quick little cars. So tonight on my way home this one was antagonizingme and I had been wanting to run one for curiosity sake. He was in front of me at a light and took off kind of slow and went into 2nd (as did I) and moved off and laid on it so I did too. His exhaust was ridiculous!!! But we went for a ways and he didn’t pull at all even from a roll. He started at my bumper and when I let off (almost to my turn) I was a little up on him (Bout the top of 4th gear). So was he stock or what? What’s the deal with these things??

 

top of 4th gear? streets at 120+mph? lol

anyway, what u mean whats the deal? super high 13s, or low 14s stock with a good drive. although i havent seen any of those good drivers here in az lol.

ive seen one with 405whp and it was only running high 12s.

I've taken a few of them with my little 4.6 2v. Not a major threat when stock.

Yah, but you would be lucky to find one of those stock. They are very easy and cheap to mod, well from what I have heard. Anyway an SRT4 wrecked it behind me about a week ago, after I left on him he tried to do a ricer flyby and met a sharp turn in which he smashed into the divider. He was fine, his car wasn't. Either way nice kill especially if you took him from a roll like that.

 

Ya I didn't think he was stock but ya I was pullin on him, if we would have been on a better street I would have kept going but so bad on the streets.

Wow. He needs the driver mod bad. A stock SRT4 should be low to mid 14's. To the OP, you probably raced a decently modded one. I've riden in a Stage 1 that was modded to basically be a Stage 2 and while it was pretty damn quick, I don't think it would've kept up very well with a newer GT with your mods.

 

A s197 with a good driver would make real quick work of a stock srt-4. With great drivers they see mid 13s at best when stock, but as its been said are very easily modded. The really are a match for the new edge stangs, not a threat to a s197.
